I am interested in exploring career possibilities in community outreach, development, collections management, and archives. I find community outreach and promoting the arts to underprivileged children and teens especially important. Having come from an underprivileged community myself my resources and exposure to the arts was limited until I reached college. I would like to work towards creating a future where the fine arts can be easily consumed by the masses in a non-intimidating way. Children can be hyper aware of the resources they lack access to, wearing down this boundary can be incredibly influential in supporting a child’s formative years while also supporting their creative endeavors.

I would like my art history practice and work to primarily focus on pre-Columbian material culture preservation and research. Due to Latin America’s colonial past, much of its history was destroyed through conquest, preserving the artifacts that remain I believe is a form of decolonizing and giving the indigenous cultures that were so detrimentally erased a new life.

Also, just a bit about me: some of my hobbies include poorly dancing in my bedroom to disco music, watching psychological thrillers, attending underground music shows, and creating schedules and lists.
