I am a current art history and visual arts double major interested in pursuing a career in the arts. I am interested in exploring career possibilities in community outreach, art conservation, and archives. I find community outreach and promoting the arts in underprivileged local communities especially important, having come from one myself my experiences with consuming art were limited until I reached college. I would like to work towards creating a future where the fine arts can be easily consumed by the masses in a non intimidating way. Children can be hyper aware of the resources they lack access to, wearing down this boundary can be incredibly influential in supporting a child’s formative years while also supporting their creative endeavors.

I am also interested in either conserving and restoring paintings or pre-Columbian objects. Painting is my favorite activities and I love learning the chemical aspects of paint and its causes of deterioration. The conservation of pre-Columbian objects however, is a specialized field I believe needs more attention. Due to Latin America’s colonial past, much of its history was destroyed through conquest, preserving the artifacts that remain I believe is a form of decolonizing and giving the indigenous cultures that were so detrimentally erased a new life.

Also, just a bit about me: some of my hobbies include poorly dancing in my bedroom to disco music, watching psychological thrillers, attending underground music shows, and creating schedules and lists.
